Litspiration Challenge #1

Litspiration Challenge:
Litspiration: A combination of the words literature and inspiration. The challenge is to be inspired by literature to create something relevant to what inspired you. I chose a drawing depicting a character that will be in a graphic novel that I am making for an electives class.

Why did I chose to depict them in this way?
Well, since I created the character himself, I think that this is the way he would depict himself. Not a hero, but a man with a goal. Someone who is on a quest to get something of value to him. I didn't colour it because it really didn't need colouring to create what I wanted shown. I think it gives it that handmade feel that my character would like.

  1. Tell me more about this character?! About the novel?! Cool idea, hope you will share the completed project on your blog when it is done!

  2. I like how you used the shadow!!!! It really made the drawing more dramatic!!!

  3. I agree with everything said above. The drawing was really cool and detailed well and like Ally said, the shadow provided a cool effect. I also agree with Ms Waite that some more info on the character or story would be awesome. Your reasoning below the drawing was neat to read, and I liked that you thoughtfully justified it being black and white. :)

  4. i agree with julia, and everyone else, the details in the drawing were very key to make the drawing very interesting, the thing that I think you could have done is maybe color it but i guess thats up to you
    good work :)

  5. 100% AWESOME! I agree with everything you've said and I'm GLaD(see GLaDOS from Portal) you didn't colour it because the colour would have ruined it. I found it amusing how you included what "litspiration" means and how to pronounce "litspiration"

  6. Cool drawing kellan I liked how you explained the drawing. how far along are you on your comic?
